We delight in welcoming you to this service of worship for a Sunday that marks the start of what is sometimes referred to as “ordinary” time. Given the extraordinary nature of the “news” with which we have been entrusted as disciples of Christ, there is a very real sense in which there is no such thing as “ordinary” time. But we do take this time to ponder the gift that is ours in Christ, making use—yet again—of an ancient Christian Creed (The Apostle’s Creed) which speaks to us of Jesus as “our Lord”. That brief phrase is filled with some very challenging implications, which meet us where we live. Stay tuned! And welcome to worship at Trinity United, Nanaimo!
