The service of worship this weekend will be for the Twentieth Sunday after Pentecost. With Rev. Foster away on vacation, we are pleased to welcome Jill Jackson to our pulpit this weekend. Jill and her husband, Dean, immigrated to Canada from Melbourne, Australia 15 years ago. Jill worked as an oncology nurse but since moving to Vancouver she has been working at the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS in ethics and research. After the birth of her daughter, Poppy, who is now 12 years old, Jill felt a call to study theology. Juggling parenting and working, after 10 years of study she graduated with Masters of Divinity from Vancouver School of Theology in May of this year. On this morning when we recall the meaning of Christian hospitality, we welcome Jill and one and all to Trinity; we are pleased to have you with us this Sunday!
